Over 36 countries worldwide continue to unlawfully exploit children in armed conflicts, most notably Central African Republic, Chad, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Children are either involuntarily recruited or are willingly enlisted in exchange for sustenance. Child soldiers are not only wrongfully used for combat, but also for sex, labor, and as as messengers and spies. More
