Protests in Kuwait
More Info
Since October 2012, Kuwait’s citizens have been demonstrating against new electoral rules implemented prior to the upcoming December 1st, 2012 government elections. Opposition supporters claim the new laws are unfair and lead to the country's opposition party from being able to fairly participate in the elections. The demonstrations have been increasing in size, spreading outside of the government’s designated protest area, and resulting in arrests and the use of teargas and smoke bombs to disperse the protestors.
