Justice for Libya's Rape Victims
Rape was systematically used by the Gaddafi regime not only during the civil war of February-October 2011, but long before – against prisoners and during interrogations of people suspected of opposing the Gaddafi dynasty, female and male. Yet, bound by a code of "honour", rape victims are muffled, prevented from publicising their ordeals for fear of bringing shame to their families. If we don't speak out and demand justice for them, who will? More
