Protesters Want Independence for Catalonia

Demonstrators took to the streets of Barcelona to protest a court ruling denying greater regional autonomy for Catalonia. Thousands of Catalan organizations and more than a million people participated at the demonstration in northern Barcelona on Saturday, the 10th of July (2010) demanding independence and for Catalonia to be formally recognized as a country.
