New Year 2013 began in Mumbai with thousands of Urban Poor marching, shouting slogans against Politicians, Police, and Bureaucrats and demanding land, housing rights, dignity and equal rights through the National Alliance of People’s Movements under the leadership of Medha Patkar. Assurances from Chief Minister and Union Minister against demolition did not help and again on April 2nd and 3rd 2013 , bulldozer crushed, demolished the houses in KHAR GOLIBAR area of Mumbai.
The protest, the indefinite fast continues there again by Medha Patkar.
