Anti-Trump Protests

More Info
Across the United States, thousands are protesting the election of Donald Trump to the office of the president. Trump has run a divisive campaign in which he derided women, religious minorities, people of color, people with disabilities and more. He has proposed a ban on Muslims entering the country and promised to deport undocumented migrants. He has mocked the disabled and proposed the implementation of unconstitutional “stop-and-frisk” police practices in cities across the country. He has bragged on tape about sexually assaulting women, and has faced accusations of sexual misconduct from over a dozen accusers. He has incited violence against protesters at his rallies, and has been endorsed by the leader of the American Nazi Party and the official newspaper of the Ku Klux Klan. His running mate, Mike Pence, has consistently supported anti-LGBTQ and anti-choice legislation in Indiana as governor and state representative. Because of Trump’s inflammatory rhetoric and often zealous supporters, many Americans feel unsafe since his election, and fear for their futures under a Trump presidency.
