Gag law in Spain aka Ley Mordaza

More Info
In 2015 the Spanish government approved a Citizen Security Protection Law, usually referred to as the “Gag Law” because of its restrictive impact of freedom of expression and information. Since then, citizens have been facing expensive fines and detention for acts such as publishing opinions in social media or demonstrating. Amnesty International, Reporters Without Borders and many other human rights organizations have denounced this law.
